About The Colorado Blog
The Colorado Blog is a labor of love of long-time resident Keith Thompson. Keith retired from Continental Airlines in 2011 after a 24-year career. Prior to that, he flew for Mid-Pacific Airlines in Hawaii, one of the first new post-deregulation airlines.
Keith is an amateur meteorologist, an offshoot of his aviation career. He is currently a volunteer observer for the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail, & Snow network, run under the offices of the Climate Division of Colorado State University. He is the Volunteer Coordinator for El Paso and Teller Counties in Colorado. He also is the publisher of the WeatherHawks meteorology website.
He is also an avid camper and loves banging around on backcountry trails in his Jeep.
